Day 713

It's a double excitement day today.

First, my book is again free. Last time before Valentine's Day to get it at no cost to you. If you didn't get a chance to download it last week, click on that link over there to the right to get your free copy.

And number two, finally another Tutorial Tuesday. Yeah, I know - it has been a long time since I did my last one. But let's forget about that and just take a look at what I have for you today. A great way to use up those scraps and make some Valentine's Day cards in the process.

Looking for more sewing and crafting projects?

In addition to the standard sewing supplies, for this project you will need:
  • Fabric strips, 1” to 1 ½” wide in varying lengths
  • 8” x 10” piece of muslin for foundation
  • Cardstock
  • Heart template – make your own or download HERE

Behind the scenes secret: I've been pretty sick these last few days and have spent most of my time in bed. While making this video there were several comical - yet embarrassing - sneezing fits, coughing attacks, and pretty ugly nose-blowing sounds. Thank goodness for editing software! Oh yeah, and ignore the ugly arthritis gloves.

While my patterns, templates, and videos are absolutely free, if you feel so inclined please consider a donation for their use. Every little bit helps! Your donation helps support the blog and allows me to continue to provide free content to crafters and cruisers all around the world.

Rather not donate? No worries - go ahead and use them for free! If you do donate, thank you for your support!
