Make Your Own Fabric Watermelon Coasters - A Fun Summertime DIY Sewing Project

For today's sewing and crafting tutorial we are making handmade fabric watermelon slices to use as drink coasters. Decorate your home for spring or summer while protecting your tabletops and desktops at the same time. It's a quick and easy sewing project and is a great beginner project, too!

For this project you will need:

• Cotton fabric
• Cotton batting
• Iron and ironing board
• Scissors and pinking shears
• Fabric clips or pins
• Rotary cutter
• Cutting ruler
• Cutting mat
• Sewing machine
• Matching thread
• Printable template from the pattern
